TACTILE TILES

A TILE GUIDE SYSTEM FOR "ANY"
VISUAL IMPAIRMENT

These tiles are now part of the Australian Building Code to be used especially at the commencement of all changes to the existing walking direction eg. TOP & BOTTOM of Ramps, Stairs, Escalators, Road crossing, and Bus, Tram & Train stations.

Each installation MUST be a 30% colour variation from the existing surface.

They are manufactured in two formats for both Internal & External situations:

DOT design 4-5mm high (cone edged) for Hazard Warning
LINE design 4-5mm high (cone edged) for Directional Guidance

Dot Design
for Hazard Warning

Line Design
for Directional Guidance

Tactile Studs

INTERNAL tiles are made of either Nitrile Rubber/PVC or Cork/Rubber and are installed with the associated Adhesives.

EXTERNAL tiles are made of Porcelain or Cork/Rubber.
With Porcelain tiles - a modified Mortar bed technique is used as follows:
Sand, Cement, and replace water with Mapei Planecrete. This creates a bed which permits the tiles to finish level to the surround.
*** Neat cement and Planecrete is used to bond the tile to the screed.
